Source Rock Quality and Distribution Data

The first component of a working petroleum system is the source rock. Fugro Robertson provides a full suite of analyses, including TOC, pyrolysis (Rock-Eval 6), gas chromatography and biomarkers by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS). Combined with carbon isotope ratios, expert geochemical interpretation provides information on the source rock, depositional environment, preservation, organic input and maturity. This in turn provides the basis for correlation with hydrocarbons found within the system.
