Organic Petrography and Maturity Assessment
The determination of thermal maturity is an essential component in the understanding of the history of hydrocarbon generation in a petroleum system. Fugro Robertson has a number of personnel with over 30 years experience each carrying out maturity studies using vitrinite reflectance and spore colour analysis. These are augmented by qualitative assessment of exinite fluorescence and integrated with geochemical screening data. Furthermore, reliable maturity data are an indispensable prerequisite for constraining basin modelling.
