Fracture orientation investigations
Determining of the orientation and nature of fractures in cores is important for studies of hydrocarbon flow, tectonic history and in situ stress in reservoir formations. Fracture orientations in cores are usually measured by core goniometry and COREMAGNETICS provides a full service in this field. Specification of the directions relative to North requires that the cores be re-oriented. This can be done quickly, conveniently and economically by the palaeomagnetic re-orientation method.
