Plate tectonics is a unifying work hypothesis for the kinematics of the upper layers of the Earth. It provides quantitative predictions of positions of plate margins and basins worldwide, and serves as a base for running paleoclimate models. Fugro-Robertson has a legacy in GIS-referenced plate tectonic models. Our latest model, Plate Wizard, aims to predict modified geometries of deformed plate margins in the past. It is additionally supported with satellite-derived bathymetry and gravity data for crustal thickness, a global structural database, and a global earthquake catalogue.

Elements for plate boundary definitions along passive margins:3-D modelling of crustal thickness derived by satellite altimetry and gravimetry data.

Elements for modern plate boundary definitions along the Peri Mediterranean mobile belt: Compiled seismicity data from earthquake catalogues from CMT, USGS, MEDNET.
