In 2006, Fugro Robertson acquired Core Magnetics, a company which has provided high quality palaeomagnetic services to the oil industry since 1991. Coupled with the recently introduced Chemostratigraphy service, this brings two more valuable additions to the Stratigraphic Toolbox™ available to our petroleum exploration clients.

Fugro Robertson Limited has successfully won a major contract with OGDCL, Pakistan’s largest oil company. The contract, which commenced on the 24th October 2005 and will run for 28 months, involves a full Basin Evaluation Study of Pakistan’s petroleum habitat.

Robertson has developed sts to facilitate the integration of stratigraphic data with seismic interpretation. Sts provides the fundamentals of a well-based stratigraphic study in a readily assimilated graphic and digital format.

Two reports are planned for the next twelve months using sts:

• The first will consist of approximately 110 wells from the offshore Mid Norway area between 62^oN and 67^oN.



• The second will analyse the West African margin and include 55 wells from Gabon, Cameroon and Angola.
