Tellus works alongside the Geochemical Information Repository (GIR), a huge repository of numerous types and volumes of geochemical data derived from rock, oil and seep sample analyses.
Like Tellus, the GIR exists as an ArcMap extension and allows quick parameter based searching of the vast database. Search results can then be easily viewed in tabular format, data can be dynamically plotted onto pre-defined interpretive plots or exported for use in other applications. In addition, the GIR also contains a Chromatogram Viewer, which allows the viewing and examination of GC and GCMS chromatograms.
Tellus contains a GIR Oils in Play layer which shows the location and availability of oil or rock samples that have associated geochemical data contained within the GIR that are linked by play.
